Calm the storm in your mind and find your center

Anxiety therapy that helps you move from constant worry to confident presence in your daily life

The worry wheel never stops spinning

Is your mind racing from one "what if" to the next, creating elaborate worst-case scenarios that feel completely real?

Maybe sleep has become elusive as your brain replays conversations, rehearses tomorrow's challenges, or spirals through every possible thing that could go wrong.

What used to feel manageable now feels overwhelming. Simple decisions become mountains. Social situations you once enjoyed now trigger a cascade of self-doubt and physical tension.

You remember feeling more at ease in your own skin, and you want that calm confidence back.

Calm isn't the absence of worry.
It's the confidence that you can handle whatever comes your way, even when you can't predict or control the outcome.

Anxiety Types I Specialize In

Generalized Anxiety Disorder
When worry becomes your full-time job and you can't seem to turn off the mental chatter about everything from work deadlines to family safety.
Social Anxiety
The fear of judgment keeps you small. We work together to rebuild your confidence in social settings and help you show up authentically.
Panic Disorder
When your body's alarm system gets stuck in overdrive, creating intense physical symptoms that feel scary and out of control.
Life Transitions & Adjustment Anxiety
Major changes—whether chosen or unexpected—can trigger intense anxiety. We help you navigate uncertainty with more ease.
Perfectionism & Performance Anxiety
When "good enough" never feels good enough, and the fear of making mistakes keeps you paralyzed or constantly stressed.
Health Anxiety
When every physical sensation becomes a reason to worry, and medical reassurance only provides temporary relief.

How We Work Together

Anxiety recovery isn't about eliminating all worry

It's about changing your relationship with anxious thoughts and building confidence in your ability to handle life's uncertainties.

We'll explore what's beneath your anxiety patterns and develop practical tools you can use in real-world situations, not just in the therapy room.

Each person's anxiety shows up differently, so our approach will be tailored specifically to your experiences and goals.

Treatment Approaches I Use

Cognitive Behavioral Therapy

Helps you identify and challenge the thought patterns that fuel anxiety and develop more balanced, realistic ways of thinking.

We'll work on breaking the cycle between anxious thoughts, physical sensations, and avoidance behaviors.

Dialectical Behavior Therapy

Focuses on building practical skills for managing intense anxiety, panic attacks, and overwhelming emotions.

You'll learn concrete techniques for distress tolerance and emotional regulation that you can use in real-world situations.

Mindfulness techniques

Anxiety often pulls us into the past or future, but mindfulness brings you back to the present moment.

These practices help you observe anxious thoughts without getting caught up in them and develop a calmer relationship with uncertainty.

Family/couples therapy

Anxiety affects relationships and relationships can trigger or soothe anxiety.

We work together to improve communication about your needs, help loved ones understand how to support you, and address relationship patterns that may be contributing to your anxiety.

Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing (EMDR)

When anxiety stems from past traumatic experiences or deeply rooted fears, EMDR can help process these memories so they feel less activating.

This approach is particularly helpful for anxiety that seems "bigger" than the current situation warrants.

Hi there, I'm Danielle Widmann

Founder of Holding Space Mental Health Counseling
Anxiety often tells us we need to have everything figured out before we can feel safe.

As someone who specializes in anxiety therapy, I understand that your worry patterns developed for good reasons—they were trying to protect you.

My approach isn't about telling you to "just relax" or "stop worrying." Instead, we work together to understand what your anxiety is trying to communicate and develop healthier ways to feel secure and confident.

I believe you can learn to trust yourself and your ability to handle whatever comes your way.
